Happy doodlers at Bushbell's Bluebell School!
In 2009 Jax Comyn (old friend of Chrissie's), started Bushbells – a fantastic initiative supporting a small village school in Watamu, in Kenya, by selling fun, colorful kikoy textiles in the UK as clothes, towels and accessories.
The enterprise not only creates vital jobs in a small coastal community with high unemployment, but all the money raised buys everything for the school - from new classrooms and books to the children’s much-needed daily mug of posho. This is a charity doing great, great things!
In January, we sent a donation to Bushbells' Bluebell School that included our color & carry nature and wildlife, butterflies of the world and world map tote bags, washable markers and our bestselling world map wrapping paper sheets.

The beauty of doodling is that there's no language barrier - coloring is universally appealing! And our fun and creative prints always inspire so many questions and conversations from young, inquisitive minds!
It's great to see the Bluebell students using our maps and bags to learn about places, icons, nature and wildlife! We love to see happy doodlers enjoying learning and discovering new things.
Students proud of their coloring!
This month we received a lovely letter and wonderful photos from Bushbells thanking us for the items. The students have been using our butterfly tote bag as learning material in their classes and are excited to make their classrooms colorful.
